FAQ

Q: Will my credit card information be stored on your end?

A: NO. I am very sensitive to cyber security so the payment systems I use do not allow your information to come into my website at all.

Q: How long does it take to receive items from time of order?

A: In-stock items generally ship out within 2-3 days. If any customizing is needed (size of a sterling cuff is a good example) usually 2 weeks is sufficient. I will let you know if what you ordered will not be available for quick shipment. If you have multiple items and they are a mix of in-stock and customizing-needed you will only pay ONE shipping charge even though you may receive more than one package.

Q: How can I find my ring size?

A: Cut a narrow strip of paper a few inches long. Starting at one end, wrap it around the place where you want the ring to sit. Mark the paper at the point where it meets. CHECK to make sure it fits over the knuckles on that finger! If not, adjust to be a touch longer but not so much it can easily slide over the knuckle. When you have the right markings, measure the length of the strip. Using the chart below order the size you want.

Q: Do you ship outside the US?

A: Yes. If you indicate a shipping address outside the US I will calculate the correct cost and contact you with that information. If you agree I will send an amended confirmation to you.

Q: How do I open my magnetic clasp?

A: What you DO NOT want to do is PULL them apart. As shown in the video below, simply roll/slide the two sections apart. Think about rolling your wrists…one to the front, one to the back.

Q: What are the different types of clasps?

A: There are four major types and they all come in various sizes and finishes. The clasp size is often chosen based on the design and weight of the piece. Heavier necklaces need stronger clasps. See the photo below.

At the top and top left are TOGGLE clasps. Simply put the bar section up through the loop.

Top right are two examples of LOBSTER CLAW clasps. You draw back the small lever on the side to open the loop and insert the ring on the other end of the necklace.

Bottom left is a MAGNETIC clasp. These are popular for their ease of use. HOWEVER…Too many people try to pull them apart….that will only break your jewelry. See the comments above and/or the short video.

Bottom right is an example of a HOOK clasp. These come in myriad shapes and sizes. The one shown here is a simple, curving hand-forged hook.
